This piece of knitwear gives the illusion that it is knit at angles when in fact it is knit straight and there are no moving of the stitches.
The neck edge is a lace panel that you add as you go along and worked neck down

It measures 55 inches long and 11 inches deep from neck edge to a point below.

You will need 400 metres of sock yarn - I used my own hand dyed sock yarn 75% superwash/255nylon in rainbow colours and a pair of 3.5mm needles.
400mm makes 11 panels
The stitches used are:
K - knit
P - purl
Yo - yarn over
K2tog - knit 2 together
