No-Face (カオナシ)
No-Face is a spirit character from Japanese animated film Spirited Away, directed by Hayao Miyazaki at Ghibli Studio. This No-Face is knitted from bottom to top and later pick up stitches from the provisional cast on edge to close it up. Arms are made with i cord and sew onto the body. Face made with needle felting. This is a quick and easy knit with no seaming and can be finished within a few hours.
Gauge & Size
There’s no gauge for this design, you can choose any black yarn you prefer but use a needle that’s one to two sizes smaller than recommended to achieve tighter gauge. I used around 20g of Alpaca 3 from Isager (125m/50g, Bulky), recommended needle size is 6mm but I used a 4mm needle. The finished size is around 12cm tall and 9cm wide.
