Included in this pattern are instructions and pictures to crochet a palm size Derpy the Frog in both worsted weight and blanket/plush/velvet type yarn. The frog is constructed using the NO-SEW method where pieces are attached by SC in the round. The mouths are embroidered using needle and yarn. All attachable pieces can be stuffed or not stuffed; I’ll leave that up to you! I did not stuff any of the pieces for the examples in this pattern. These creations can be completed in less than an hour.

Hobby Lobby “Baby Bee Adore-a-Ball” yarn was used to make the plush example, which is a chunky size 5 yarn. Hobby Lobby “I Love This Yarn” worsted weight size 4 was used for the other example. Any type or size yarn can be used for this pattern

Finished Size: Plush frog is approximately 3” tall and 4 3/4” wide
Regular yarn frog is approximately 2 1/2” tall and 3 3/4” wide

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner to Intermediate+

Requires basic crocheting/color changing skills and sewing skills for embroidered details.

Pattern is written in US terms.

Pattern is written using the “no-sew” method where pieces are attached in the round. You could also work the pattern without attaching the pieces and sew them on.

Pattern is worked in continuous rounds throughout.

Pattern is made by yarning under rather than yarning over, but please do whatever you are most comfortable with. Note that if choosing to yarn over, the look and size of your finished project may differ from what is pictured.
