This elephant is always a favorite with the babies in my play group because it is easy to grab by the trunk and not too thick to hold onto either. I did a purple, green and blue one that left with one baby because she loved it so much and her mom said she had never been interested in a toy before.
Make in red, white and black to make it really attractive to the little ones. You could use this as a stash buster, add striping, or maybe go patriotic during voting season and do a blue head with red and white stripes. Have fun with it and make it yours!
My favorite part of this pattern is that there is absolutely no sewing involved so you only need your darning needle to weave in the ends.
