Motif was designed for double knitting. Experienced knitters can interpret the chart for a picture dish cloth.

1. The core pattern is a one-pager. The following pages provide additional details.
2. Instructions are for central section only (45 stitches 72 rows).
3. One row of chart results in two rows in the knitted cloth.
4. No specific yarn or yardage is given in pattern. Usually needle sizes between US size 1 1/2 (2.5 mm) and 4 (3.5 mm) will make cloth sizes 8”x8” and bigger. Resulting sizes depend on gauge.

Attention: If you prefer a square potholder, you might omit 2 rows at the beginning of the pattern and/or add stitches to the left and right.

As a picture cloth the garter stitch reduces the height and you will get a square cloth with 72 rows.

Als rechts-links Spüli zieht sich der Lappen in der Höhe etwas zusammen, so dass er mit 72 Reihen nahezu quadratisch wird.
