The Nocturno shawl is simple but very effective. It is soft, light and fluffy and will hug you pleasantly.
The shawl has a triangle shape. It is worked back and forth from the top center to the bind-off. The shawl is knit partially in garter stitch and partially in lace pattern and finished with garter stitch border.
The size of the shawl is easy adjustable as it can be knit with any yarn weight and with any gauge. You can use fingering, sport, DK or even worsted weight yarn and knit the shawl with needles in different sizes. The size of the shawl can be also changed by working less or more rows of the lace pattern.

Sizes
One size – the size is adjustable.
Top edge: 150 cm / 60”.
Depth: 60 cm / 24”

Yarn
For the shawl you’ll need about 420m/ 460y of each yarn: fingering weight held together with lace weight
mohair or substitute two strands with any yarn in DK weight.

The sample was knit with two strands of yarn held together: one strand of fingering weight yarn and one strand of lace weight yarn. I’ve used:
• Martin’s Lab Tibetan Singles ( 65% Wool - Merino, 20% Silk, 15% Yak; 480m / 525y per 120g );
• Martin’s Lab Silky Mohair ( 72% Goat - Mohair, 28% Silk; 420m / 459y per 50g ).
Both yarns shown in “Admiral” colorway.

Needles
5.0 mm / US #8 circular needles ( 80 cm / 32” long ), or size needs to get the right gauge.

Gauge
14 sts and 30 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4 “ - in garter stitch worked flat with 5.0 mm (US #8) needles, after wet blocking.

Chusta ma kształt symetrycznego trójkąta. Wykonywana jest na płasko, w tę i z powrotem od środka w kierunku brzegu z zamknięciem oczek. Chusta dziergana jest częściowo ściegiem francuskim a częściowo ażurowym i wykończona bordiurą wykonaną ściegiem francuskim.
Rozmiar chusty można w bardzo prosty sposób dostosować do własnych potrzeb ponieważ można ją dziergać z włóczki
o dowolnej grubości. Możesz użyć włóczki typu fingering, sport, DK a nawet typu worsted i dziergać szal na drutach w różnych rozmiarach. Rozmiar chusty można również zmienić wykonując mniej lub więcej powtórzeń wzoru ażurowego.

Włóczka
Na szal potrzebne będzie około 420m włóczki typu fingering oraz 420m włóczki typu lace z zawartością moheru. Obie nitki włóczki w tym projekcie przerabiane są jednocześnie. Dwie nitki włóczki możesz zastąpić jedną nitką włóczki o grubości DK.

Przykładowy szal wykonany został dwoma nitkami włóczki dzierganymi jednocześnie: jedna nitka typu fingering oraz jedna nitka typu lace. Na swój szal użyłam:
• Martin’s Lab Tibetan Singles ( 65% wełna merino, 20% jedwab, 15% yak; 480m na 120g );
• Martin’s Lab Silky Mohair ( 72% moher, 28% jedwab; 420m na 50g ).

Druty
5.0 mm na żyłce o długości 80 cm, lub rozmiar potrzebny do osiągnięcia wymaganej próbki.
