You will need:

• 8 Ply yarn. I used Moda Vera Starlight 8 ply in red as my main colour, and an unnamed brand glitter yarn in green as my contrast colour.
• 4mm hook
• Scissors
• Darning needle

Size:
The size of your Santa Stocking will be approx. 10.5 inches from toe to cuff. This is a great size for a mini gift bag (think secret santa/kris kringle gifts, teacher gifts, etc).

For larger sizes, try using 10ply/worsted yarn, chunky yarn or double stranding your choice of yarn weight. Just be sure to adjust your hook size accordingly. You could even make cute stocking decorations for your tree by using crochet thread and a smaller hook!

The pattern is very adaptable and you can really play with the size and have fun with it.
