Noki mittens are named by the color of the yarn: Noki means carbon stains you get from fireplaces. I was squeezing my lovely scrap yarn and started knitting. Lace in the cuff pretty much knit itself and the patterns reminded me of the fire dancing on the fireplace - and it reminded me of home. Mittens have folded cuff, thumb gusset and rounded tip.

Mittens are knitted in the round on magic loop. Picot edging is knitted first and after that knitting is continued the lace cuff. Knitting direction is reversed. Next up there is ribbing to make the cuff nice and stretchy, but fitting. Mittens have traditional thumb gusset, stockinette and rounded decreases on the tip.

You´ll need:
50g BC Garn Semilla Melange or approx. 175m similar sport weight wool yarn
3mm and 60cm circular needles
Scrap yarn

Gauge:
10st/14rds = 5cm stockinette in the round on 3mm circular needles (before blocking)
Always choose the needles that give you the right gauge

Sizes: size 1 = 21cm circumference
size 2 = 24cm circumference.

You can adjust the lenght of the mitten and thumb based on your unique measurements.
