Nokomis Cape
I was excited to find the cable motif I chose for this cape in Walker’s Charted Knitting Designs: A Third Treasury of Knitting > Patterns and immediately recognized it as one she used in a queen-sized orange blanket she showed me when I visited her several years ago in Florida. I remember gasping when I saw it because I understood the hours of work she had put into making it. My reaction made Walker smile, and I named this cape after the town in which our visit took place.
