Noon Peak
Noon Peak stands majestic over the coastal community of Carpinteria, California. The rising sun glows behind the mountain and the setting sun casts fiery rays on the bare rock. Knit your own version of scenic mountain tops with a pop of color for a sun-kissed mountainscape.
Knit in the round, Noon Peak begins with a corrugated rib brim then transitions to a charted stranded knitting stockinette body. Five colors are used in total with a maximum of two per row. This hat fits snug with a slightly roomy crown.

Notes:
• Choosing color palette - To achieve a similar result as the sample, choose shades of the same color for C1, C2 and C3 i.e. three shades of green arranged light to dark.
• Row gauge is critical - If row gauge is off your hat will be too short or too long because the majority of the hat is charted. Approximate measurements after the chart are provided so that you may adjust accordingly.
• Corrugated rib is not stretchy. For a stretchy brim, substitute a standard rib worked in just one color but note that your gauge may differ from that of stranded knitting. Also, if you are having trouble working the corrugated rib, try two-handed knitting and experiment to find which hand should hold the purl color.
