Noordzee
INFO
An extension of the Atlantic Ocean, the North Sea (Dutch ‘Noordzee’) washes the shores of multiple Northern European countries. Its grey-blue waves are perfectly captured here by a special Frida Fuchs colorway and by the undulating cables of this asymmetrical triangular shawl.
A subtly rippling texture leads down to the cables, which culminate in a clean, modern lower border, and the use of i-cord edgings provides polish and refinement to the entire piece. Both harmonious and continuously interesting, the design is as well suited to tonally dyed fibers as it is to solid hues.
’Noordzee’ is worked flat from the right tip to the left edge. The pattern is fully written out with stitch counts and charted.
