Late May, and early June, the wild roses bloom along our roadsides and on our beaches (yes, I do live in a magical place!). The Nootka roses are heavily fragranced and I love to walk along their hedges or drive along the roads.

Designed for the June 2021 Mystery Sock Yarn Society set, the Nootka Rose socks have a whimsical bobble edge, that tops a single pointelle lace panel along the top of the foot.

Samples were made on US 3s, and will fit a ladies 9-11 size foot, but if you desire a smaller sock, simply size down the needles… a 100g skein has plenty of yarn for this pair with leftovers. My two socks weigh 52 grams. Your results may vary! They can easily be made any length you desire, just add additional lace repeats. Lace instructions are both charted and written.
