This pattern creates a 6.5” square potholder…if you would like it smaller or larger, you can change out the size needle or add extra solid rows to the beginning and end as well as between the pattern repeats. This potholder is double sided and thick….perfect even for cast iron kettles and pans. I used Hobby Lobby’s I love this cotton, but any worsted weight 100% cotton yarn will work. I know some also prefer to use wool for potholders…that would work as well. I prefer cotton as they can go through the washer and dryer without shrinking, and have the same flame resistance as wool.
