Warm and soft baby hat that I worked up for my grandaughter, Nora. I wanted a slightly poufy hat that pulls down over the ears (she lives in Alaska!).
I did not record a gauge. I tend to crochet tightly, so I suspect you could use a worsted and maybe even a smaller hook, and still get a hat for a 6-12 month old.
