Norah is an infinity scarf with a diamond pattern inspired by Gothic architecture. The intricate design is reminiscent of the pointed arches and ornate details found in Gothic buildings. The scarf is made of a soft, comfortable fabric and is perfect for dressing up any outfit. Whether you’re exploring a historic cathedral or just running errands, this scarf is the perfect accessory to add a touch of sophistication to your look. The name of the scarf is a tribute to the amazing Norah Gaughan’s work. The motif of this pattern is in fact a modification of one out of the several included in the fabulous Norah’s book “Twisted stitch sourcebook”.
The scarf is worked in the round starting with a provisional cast on; a long tube is worked repeating the motif as long as you wish, and then grafted end to end.
Measures:
circumference of the finished piece: 31.5” / 80 cm
height of the finished piece: 10.75” / 27.5 cm
Gauge: 1 repeat of the stitch pattern (corresponding to the chart) measures 2.25 x 4” / 5.5 x 10 cm
Gauge is not critical; different gauge will only affect finished size and yardage.
You can easily modify the circumference or the length of the scarf by adding or subtracting number of repeats per rnd or the chart repeating times.
