Ever since I released the pattern for Norah’s Hidden Flower Top I have been thinking about the possibility of adding sleeves. It could be that I just wanted a chance to knit it again, I love this twisted stitch pattern! I then discovered Knitpicks Swish Worsted yarn and I realised that whilst the gauge is similar, this beautiful yarn behaves very differently from Cleckheaton Fine Merino used for the original top pattern.

So here is the new version, with a deeper neckline and wider neckline band, short/long front and back, with sleeves option. Instructions are given for both the vest and the pullover finishes.

This is not an easy knit. There are increases and decreases in pattern, optional altering of the twisted stitch pattern and a charted sleeve pattern. But it is by far my favourite pullover at the moment, especially since I have discovered that if you finish it neatly (weave in the ends carefully please) you can wear it inside out. I have included photos of the pullover and vest worn both ways, also you will notice that there are two models: on me the garments have 30cm positive ease, on my beautiful friend Amy, 10cm positive ease.
