How to make your wave more wave-y!

The Nor’Aister fingerless mitts are designed to match the Nor’Aister beanie and headband. They are worked in the round, with rib borders, and a gusset thumb.

With 50g (142m) of Aister Oo, you should have enough background colour to knit the beanie and a pair of mitts. (I used approx 25g of Blosta for the mitts.) You only need small amounts of the contrast colours - and you could work all your waves in the same contrast colour if you wish. Aister Oo is a 4 ply yarn - so other yarns would work too. Just check your tension.

The mitts comfortably fit a hand measuring 20cm / 8” around at the base of the fingers.

The wave patterns go in a different direction on each hand, and is worked on the back of the hand and the palm. There is a chart for the thumb, though you may choose to work this all in the background colour, carrying your floats across when working the gusset stitches (shown on the right hand and left hand charts.)

For mine, I used Aister Oo in Blosta, Nort Blue Geo, Sooth Blue Geo and Moonshine, and 2.75mm needles. Adjusting needle sizes would allow for making slightly smaller or larger mitts.

I hope you enjoy knitting and wearing your Nor’Aister accessories!
