Nordic Adventure Mittens
This design was inspired by a trip along the coast of Norway, sailing through the fjords past impressive mountainous peaks, drifting in and out of snow flurries hoping to catching a glimpse of the Northern Lights.
These Nordic Adventure afterthought thumb mittens are worked in the round using magic loop and Fair Isle technique. The strands of yarn create a double thick fabric perfect for keeping your hands nice and toasty.
Each of the techniques used has a step by step guide with pictures and written instructions.
Size wise the mittens will fit most adult hands, but instructions are given to make the cuff shorter or longer if required.
The fair isle pattern is worked using a 5mm needle with a gauge / tension of 24sts over 24 rows.
