You’ll need:
Yarn
Colours given are those used in the sample. Feel free to get creative with your own colour choices to match in with your Christmas decor.
Mouse Body: KPC Novomerino DK 50g ball
1 x ball in Thunder (yarn A)
Sweater: WOOLganic Merino DK 50g ball
1 x ball in Grapefruit Moon (yarn B)
1 x ball in Chilli Pepper (yarn C)
Nose & Eyes: WOOLganic Merino 4ply 50g ball
1 x ball in Black Swan or oddment of 4ply yarn, approx. 60cm per mouse
Note: Nose & eyes are worked in 4ply yarn. The drop in yarn weight gives a delicate pointed nose and makes embroidering the eyes easier.
- The yarn quantities given are enough to knit all 3 mice, with generous leftover.
Needles:
3.25mm straight knitting needles
3.25mm pair DPNs (to knit i-cord tail)
Skill Level:
Mice are worked flat on two needles. Instructions are written with a chart for the colour work - instructions & tips are given for first-time colourwork knitters. If you’re new to stranded knitting, this pattern is suitable for beginners. Other techniques include basic shaping.
