Plymouth Select Worsted merino superwash comes in 218 yard skeins. Using one skein of each color, I was able to make both an adult medium and an adult large size hat.

The hat pictured was made with a tubular cast on, although that is not necessary. It works just as well with a regular long tail cast on.

Hat is worked using Fair Isle technique, alternating between 2 colors from the bottom up. Directions include both written pattern and clearly numbered graph for those who prefer one or the other.

I’ve made this hat many times and it’s always appreciated.
