This is a very cute hat pattern for a baby out of thick and thin bulky weight yarn. You can use the same instruction to make a hat for an older child.

My pattern is very easy to understand with lots of photos.

This hat looks very cute in pictures and makes great photo props as well!

Materials: knitting needle size US 15 (10 mm), 1 extra knitting needle or stitch holder, depending on your size about 85 yards of yarn (for the size in the photo), tapestry needle, scissors.

Gauge: 4 sts = 2”, 12 rows = 4”

The hat stretches easily to 20” without being tight. The only thing you would have to change is the length of the hat for an older child (you will find a note in my instruction about that).
