The gauge is not important. Made in double knit, the baubles are approx 9cm wide (diameter) You could use any yarn and thickness, but just adjust the hook to suit. Use a size smaller to ensure that the stuffing doesn’t show through, I used 3.5 for Dk, and would use a 2mm for 4ply, or 4.5mm for Aran weight.

You will need approx 20g of the main colour and 5-7g of the contrast. Toys stuffing, and 3.5mm hook.

Although I haven’t made them, I am sure if you wanted a more even shape, you could work these around polystyrene or acrylic balls.
