Nordic Twist is a feminine sweater with a delicate pattern. It is tightly fitted with voluminous sleeves.
Nordic Twist is worked top-down with shoulder increases. While the shoulder increases are made, the neckline is formed with German short rows. When the increases on the shoulders are finished, increases for the sleeves are begun. The sweater is knitted in the round. The whole of the sweater is knitted in the pattern. Along the shoulders and the outside of the sleeves, there is a stripe of stockinette stitches. The neck, the lower rib of the body, and the rib at the wrists are knitted with 3 mm needles and the rest of the sweater is knitted on 4 mm needles. Tubular bind off is used to ensure a nice finish as well as increasing the functionality.
Make sure the tension is correct. Knit a swatch before you start to find the right needle size. The gauge is stated AFTER washing.
The sweater has a tight fit. I recommend that you knit the size you normally wear in clothes. The bust circumference in the pattern is noted when the sweater is lying flat. The pattern makes it very elastic and shapes nicely to the body. I recommend trying the sweater on along the way and adjusting the length to make sure it fits you perfectly.
