Nordic Winter is the fourth release of 3 hat patterns grouped together thematically: each ebook (Hat collection) includes 3 patterns of hats in different sizes and toppings.

Here, the theme is about Nordic countries: traditional patterns are worked with typical yarns of the corresponding country. The yarns are produced from specific local sheep breeds. An exotic knitting that takes you on a journey!

Nordic Winter - Iceland is knitted in the round with a 100 % new Icelandic wool. Following a 3-color Latvian twist edge, the hat shows a typical pattern in stranded colorwork -in garter st. When hat is completed, stitches are picked up from the edge to knit a lining of the brim. A round pompom is attached on the top.

• 3 sizes: S, M and L.
• Fits 20.5 to 25.5 inches head circumference.
• Gauge in st pattern: 20 sts x 21 rnds (in the round, 4.0 mm needles, st st)
• Yarn requirements: 1 (1, 1) ball of Lagoon Heather 9423, 1 (1, 1) ball of Blue Heather 1404 and a white blend of mohair and viscose : about 40 yds to knit the pattern and 45 yds to make a pompom.
• Notions: 3.5 mm and 4.0 mm circular needles, 4.0 mm straight needles and 4.0 mm dpns; 4.0 mm crochet hook (to pick up sts, optional).

Nordic Winter - Iceland est tricoté en rond avec un fil islandais 100 % laine. Après une vrille lettonne en 3 couleurs, le bonnet présente un motif jacquard en point mousse et un revers “à l’intérieur”, tricoté après avoir relevé des mailles sur la vrille. Le bonnet est décoré d’un gros pompon.
