The Nor’Easter Beanie is a great way to kick off the hat-making (and snowy!) season! This hat is worked from the bottom up and utilizes both the waistcoat stitch and Fair Isle technique. Please note- while you can use regular single crochet and an alternate method of carrying your yarn it may affect the final dimensions.

This pattern is written for the following sizes (go by head circumference rather than age to ensure a good fit):

• Baby(6-12 months ) Approx 15 inch circumference
• Toddler (2-3yrs) Approx 17 inch circumference
• Child (4-10) Approx 19 inch circumference
• Adult - Approx 21 inch circumference

Difficulty Level: Intermediate.

This pattern is written with the understanding that the maker can already read/follow basic written descriptions and graphs. (ie: Row 5: 5 MC, 6 CC, 8 MC, etc etc). You should already be comfortable with working in joined rounds, waistcoat stitch, and carrying yarn.

This crochet pattern is written in English and uses standard US Terms.
