Nor'easter Mittens & Hat
A Nor’easter is a type of storm common during the winter in the Northeastern US that occurs when cold air coming from the Arctic Air Mass converges with warmer air from the Gulf Stream. These cosy mittens and hat will keep you warm even in the worst New England weather. They are a quick knit in chunky yarn and a perfect blank slate for simple embellishments.
It takes just a little bit more than one skein of Northampton Bulky or Malabrigo Chunky to make the mittens You might get away with one skein if you take a couple of rows out of the cuffs, or, if your hands are small, you can do fewer rows in the palm section. Or just use the second skein to make a matching hat like I did!
