Norman the Peacock
Bring some regal splendour into your home with your very own peacock! Norman is approximately 21cm/8¼in tall when seated and his tail feathers are around 35cm/13¾in at their widest point. His head is knitted using the intarsia method whilst his tail feathers are embroidered with gold metallic thread, making him the ideal project for adventurous knitters!
All pieces are knitted flat on straight needles (although most can be knitted in the round). They’re then seamed and attached using mattress stitch while the tail motifs feature a line of backstitch around them… but why stop there?! You could add intricate embroidery, beads or even sequins to create a timeless heirloom!
You’ll be pleased to know that this pattern has been reviewed by a professional technical editor to ensure that it’s super-easy to follow!

The boring bit…
This pattern is intended for personal use so it’s fine to print it out but please don’t sell it, share it on the internet or make multiple copies. What you can sell (more money for yarn – YAY!) is finished items made from this pattern so long as you’ve made them yourself and it’s not on a commercial basis. Please remember to credit me as the designer!
And finally…
I’d love to see your finished peacock so please share him on Facebook, Instagram and here on Ravelry!
