Norma may be worn as a scarf, a cowl or a hood to keep the ears warm. With it around your neck in the scarf position you twist it into a figure 8 and pull the bottom half of the 8 up over your head to wear as a cowl. To wear as a hood you would pull one wrap up from the back of the neck and up over your ears. It may also double as a shawl or shoulder wrap shown here in Plymouth Yarn, Taria Tweed.

Three reason’s to knit Norma;

1)This is an easy scarf to knit so I especially welcome beginners to give this a try; don’t let knitting in the round scare you away!
2)This is a good stash yarn project with it’s minimum yarn needs and the ease of substitution with a wide range of bulky yarns.
3) A quick knit for gift giving!

Needle size notes: I am a tighter-than-average knitter, so you may have to go down a needle size to get the correct gauge. If you are not a tight knitter please start your gauge swatch with a size 10(6mm) or 10.5(6.5mm).
