Noro Scarf
I love striped Noro scarves but wanted to soften the stripes as well as add more texture and came up with this pattern.
I used Noro Silk Garden, 2 skeins each of two different colorways. You could also use Noro Kureyon or any of the similar worsted weight or aran weight yarns by other companies that are now available.
Gauge does not matter with this pattern, but you will need at least 220 yards of each color if knitting with worsted or aran weight yarns.
You could also use other weights of yarn, from fingering to bulky. Just keep in mind that you will need more yardage when using lighter weight yarns and less when using heavier, bulky weight yarns.
Experiment to find a needle size that works well with your yarn. For the Noro Silk Garden, I used US9 (5.5mm).
The size of your scarf will vary depending on the yarn, needle size, and your individual knitting gauge.
My sample measured 71” x 10” after blocking.
Please keep in mind that I am offering this as a free pattern that has not been test knit.
