Norra
Norra.
One can never have enough Hap’s. They’re awesome, warm, comfy and can be very colourful. I wanted a bold statement border, and as per usual, I chose landscape colours. A beautiful gradient, because the Spindrift is almost always a combination of several shades in 1 thread. The border became pretty wide, so it needed a wide edge too.
Norra is the Swedish word for Northern. My husband travels to Sweden often, for his work, and I’ve joined him many times.
I hope we go beyond Stockholm, one day…
Yarn 1
9 balls 203 Jamieson and Smith 2ply Jumper weight 105m/25gr! *
1 ball 1 (Optic white!), Jamieson and Smith 2ply Jumper weight.
Yarn 2
Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift for the border colours.
There are 12 and depending on tension I used 1 ball for each colour number. Except for Mirrie Dancers, you need 2.
I chose these colours because the darker colours are mixed. That makes for an amazing gradient but also a bit tough to represent in a colour chart that cant mix the colours.
