Norseland is an old word for Scandinavia – especially in legends and stories.

Norselander is a traditional Danish tie shawl knitted in an untraditional way. Norselander drapes beautifully around the shoulders and can be used as a shawl or large scarf.

Norselander is worked back and forth from the bottom and up in one or two colors. Use the intarsia technique for working the lace stripe in a contrasting color.

The pattern includes directions for knitting this shawl in four different sizes: Small, medium, large and X-large. Width (top edge): 135 (178, 220, 262) centimeters, Height: 32 (42, 52, 62) centimeters.

The pattern is written for a knitter who is familiar with the intarsia technique, able to, follow written instructions as well as follow a small lace chart and work increases and decreases. (The directions is a combination of written instructions and charts).

This pattern calls for a yarn with a yardage of approximately 200-210 meters per 100 grams. Size large shawl pictured.

Materials: yarn, circular knitting needle and stitch markers.

I have a loyalty program where you can choose a free pattern after purchasing my patterns for at minimum of § 25.0.

The pattern does not include finished items yarn etc. The pattern only includes instruction for knitting the shawl.
