NOTES
-
This ruana is worked back and forth in rows. Each front is worked separately from the bottom up, then stitches are cast on across the back neck and the back is worked from the top down.
-
The project used almost all 11 skeins of the yarn shown. Consider purchasing an extra skein as insurance.
-
A circular needle is used to accommodate the large number of stitches.
-
Slip stitch at beginning of right-side rows purlwise with yarn in front; slip stitch at beginning of wrong-side rows purlwise with yarn in back.
-
When working the 13-stitch cables, some stitches in underlayer of the cable crossing will change from knits to purls and vice versa.
-
This ruana is reversible. The directions are written with the predominantly purl side of the fabric as the right side, but it can also be worked with the mostly knit side on the outside.
