North Loop Beanie
The lattice cables filled with seed stitch create a unique texture in this hat - this is not your basic cable beanie! The cables are created using left- and right-twisted stitches no cable needle needed! The name comes from the North Loop neighborhood in Minneapolis, where my husband and I end up on most of our date nights.
The pattern offers three brim options: standard ribbing, folded brim, and double brim.

-This pattern is worked in the round, from the brim up to the crown.
-This pattern uses left- and right-twist stitches to create a diamond cable design, of which some diamonds are filled with seed stitch.
-It’s important to know what a left-leaning stitch and right-leaning stitch look like. See photos on page 7 or video tutorial.
-Familiarize yourself with the seed stitch, which consists of single knits and purls that alternate horizontally and vertically.
-When working twist stitches, you’re working two stitches at a time.
-I’ve found that bulky/chunky weight yarn varies greatly. Be sure to do a gauge swatch and adjust needle size to meet the gauge.
-This pattern is written in a multiple of 8 stitches, and therefore is not easily adjusted for size. To make slight fit adjustments, go up a needle size or use a thicker yarn to make a larger hat, or go down a needle size or use a thinner yarn for a smaller hat.
