My family goes hiking a lot and I remember the myth that moss grows on the north side of the tree. Whenever we come across moss on a tree, one of us will say, “That must be the north side of the tree.” And we all laugh because that not may be the case. So, I decided to do a companion to the Southern Mossy Socks and do a double moss stitch on the pattern.

I use a size 0 needle because I’m a very loose knitter. My friends use a 1 or a 2. I would use the needle that makes the fabric density that you like.

This is one size because you measure it on your foot as you go along.

Hope you enjoy the pattern!
