The entire coat is worked in Stockinette Stitch with Minerva Scotch Sports Yarn on M. M. No. 4 Needles.

The horizontal stripes are knit in by * work in dark green for 14 rows, join brown and work 2 rows, pick up dark green and work 14 rows, join light green and work 2 rows. Repeat from * for entire coat. The vertical stripes are slip stitched on after coat is finished. Five of these stripes increase the width of the coat about 1 inch.
