A brand new CAL hosted by CAL - Crochet A Long! The blog for the CAL can be found here:

And the Facebook group here:

This was tested by the fantastic tester team at CAL - Crochet A Long: Elaine R, Elaine W, Tokkie, Michelle, Mel, Malathi, Caroline, Heather, Rachel, Jennifer, and Roxanne!

The North Woods Afghan is made using the overlay mosaic crochet method. The great part about this method is it looks really complicated but is actually quite easy…and very addictive! You can achieve gorgeous colorways and beautiful patterns with mosaic crochet. You will crochet on only the right side of your work, and you will cut your yarn at the end of every row. When you’re done with the body of the blanket, you can choose to leave the multi-colored fringe that is created or work the double border like I have for clean, finished edges.

There are charts AND full written instructions for the pattern.
There is an introduction and 12 additional parts to the CAL. The introduction will be released 9/27/24 and each additional part will be released every Friday for the 12 weeks following.

Once the CAL is over the pattern will be condensed into one single download publication instead of 13 separate parts.
