North Woods Hat
For the most part, many of us stick to knitting for women. We knit for our sisters, our friends, ourselves. Once in awhile, however, we need a manly gift--for our nephews, our dads, our husbands.
So what do you knit for those men on your list? How about a ribbed hat knit with one of our most favorite local yarns, Northern Dreams Alpaca? This soft, natural brown yarn should please even the fussiest of guys. If you’ve got a man (or two!) on your list, this simple style will keep him toasty warm.
Wear this hat with the brim rolled up or down--you choose!
Directions are given both for in-the-round or flat knitting. The hat knit in the round will require a 16” circular needle, as well as double-pointed needles, and the flat hat will require straight needles
