A doubly warm double layer mitten!

These mittens are basically two mittens attached to one cuff. An outer layer tightly knit for warmth and water repellency and a thinner fingering weight inner layer for double warmth!
I like to use Harrisville New England Highland wool, Cascade Eco Wool or Blackberry Ridge wool for a thick rustic outer layer. Leftover scraps of sock yarn are perfect for the inner layer.
Mittens are worked from the wrist up and then stitches are picked up around the wrist and knit down for the cuff. Included are directions for a flat top mitten or a rounded top if you prefer not to do the Kitchener Stitch.

Pattern is written for a size medium with notes on how to customize size.
