This pattern is a fun and easy way to learn how to do colorwork.
This hat is designed to be slouchy, but could easily be made shorter by taking out the added 5 rows of knitting that is worked after the chart pattern. You can finish this hat with a faux fur pompom or make your own! If you choose to make your own, you will need to make sure you have enough yarn as the pattern is designed around putting on a faux fur pom.

Once the hat is finished, you may want to block the top portion of the hat to stretch it a bit for added slouch. We get the top of the hat damp and then put a dinner plate (smaller one probably for this hat) and then let it sit overnight to dry.
