Sweater is worked from the top down. The construction starts at the collar. The back and the fronts are worked separately up to the armholes, and then everything is joined to complete the body in one piece. The sleeves are picked up around the armholes and also worked in the round.
This sweateris designed to have approx. 17 - 19 cm 6.5 - 7.4 inches of
positive ease. For example, if your kids measure 55 cm 21,5 in around the bust, you
should knit a size 3-4 yrs. A size 3-4 yrs sweater has a chest circumference of 73 cm
28.5 inches which in the given example will give you 17 cm 6.5 inches of positive
ease.
You will need:
Madelinetosh DK Twist (100% merino, 229 m/100 g (250 yds/3.5 oz).
knitting needles 4.00 mm US6 or other size to obtain gauge.
circular needles, stitch markers.
zipper 35 cm 13.7 inches.
