Northern Lights Stocking
This pattern is part of my series of patterns that use my Breakaway Crochet Method.
It uses a BRAND NEW technique for working continuous motifs.
Before attempting this project, please have a look at how to do some of the basic techniques by:
Reading the Training Wheels Project eBook
OR
watching the videos in this YouTube playlist.
DESCRIPTION
Use my Breakaway Crochet techniques to crochet this stocking with join-as-you-go continuous motifs.
Not much yarn is required for each stocking, and once you understand the pattern they work up quite quickly. Great idea for Christmas market stalls!
The size of the stocking depends on the thickness of the yarn you use along with the size of the hook. So any weight of yarn can be used but wool and cotton are probably the best fibre.
Ombré, color changing or self striping colors are not recommended; semi solids and solids are best.
Use these stockings as decorative items, but since the stars are lacy, sew a lining if you want to actually want to fill with stocking stuffers.
Video tutorial is also available on YouTube.
