Norwegian Cross Blanket
My boyfriend is 6’2” and as such, has a hard time getting a blanket that’s big enough for him…so I thought I would make him one. And since he is norwegian, I thought it was a good time to use a norwegian cross. Your colors are your own to pick. You need 2 (one in the blue range and one in the cream/white or black range)…technically it would be appropriate to use white and blue…but I think my honey would prefer blue and black.
Suggestions for colors are:
Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Ocean, Shaded Dusk, Aran, Linen, Delft Blue, Royal, Lt. Periwinkle, Country Blue, Black, and Soft White.
Caron Simply Soft Yarn in Lt. Country Blue, Country Blue, Bone, White, Berry Blue, and Tapioca.
The Red Heart yarn will be warmer but the Caron Simply Soft will be softer. It is up to you.
The gist of the pattern is this…make a square for each square in the PDF and put it together as shown to make a blanket. If you make your squares 4” by 4” you will get a blanket that is approximately 84 inches by 60 inches…which should be big enough for most tall men. :-)
