Decades ago, I got a pair of mittens from a penpal in Norway. By the time they were wearing out, I had learned to knit, so I sketched out the pattern on graph paper and knit them. I’ve made many pairs of these over the years, and want to offer them to you, so you can enjoy them, as well.

One ball of each colour should be sufficient for a pair of mittens. I have large hands and do the ribbing in both colours, to ensure I won’t run out, but if your hands are smaller, you should have sufficient yarn, even with one-colour ribbing.
