The Norwegian Starburst hat pattern is developed from the traditional star motif. Working “in the round”, the hat starts with corrugated ribbing, and moves into stranded colorwork. The pattern gives options for a small adult hat as well as med/large. Although the pattern uses fingering weight yarn, a sport weight version is possible by casting on fewer stitches and working 8 repeats of the body design rather than 10.
