I used to sew for folks and I noticed something about fabric choices. People would match the color of the fabric they bought to the garment in the picture on the pattern envelopes. It seemed that they could not “see” it in other colors. Knitters, I am happy to see, seem to be free of that quirk, blessed with the ability to envision colors other than those in a picture. I named this design in memory of my past customers, I hope they have all become knitters and had their imagination and visualization skills improved.

Not Always Black and White is a 60” keyhole scarf that can be arranged in a variety of ways. Knit of sports weight cable cotton on larger than usual needles, Not Always Black and White makes a wonderful summer accessory.

I have a genius for finding and using discontinued yarns. This is another example of that, but Tahki Cotton or Cascade Ultra Pima will work nicely.
