Not Done Yet
I have fallen head over heels in love with Tunisian Crochet and with this fun stitch, so I’m not done with it yet! It creates such a lovely fabric – perfect for keeping your ears warm with this fun headband with a twist. Make the loop longer and you have a stylish cowl.
These accessories are perfect for transitions between seasons, you know when Spring and Autumn are just “not done yet”!
Yarn:
Pink Sample: Hand-dyed worsted weight wool, approximately 220 yards (201 m)/ 100 g.
The headband used approximately 30 g, 90 yards (82 m).
Turquoise Sample: Hand-dyed aran weight wool, approximately 160 yards (146 m)/ 100 g.
The cowl used approximately 70 g, 77 yards (70 m).
Hook: US J-10, UK 4, 6.0 mm.
The headband can be made with any weight of wool yarn and an appropriately sized hook. The size is completely customizable by working more or fewer stitches and rows.
Tunisian Crochet is typically made with a hook one or two sizes larger than you would usually use for the yarn.
Techniques: The headband is worked in a fun variation of Tunisian Simple Stitch which creates a lovely squishy fabric.
Terminology: US crochet terms are used throughout the pattern.
A photo tutorial is included as a separate file.
