Not Even Mildly Internet Famous
This pattern was the hybrid inspiration of stash busting, need for an easy-to-manage airplane project, and my desire to have a cowl-neck sweater. Since I couldn’t readily come up with a pattern from my copious personal collection, I made one up. I make stuff up a lot, but that’s a different Instagram account entirely.
Technically, this is a pattern for a pullover sweater. However, the fact that the sleeves are divided from the body fairly late in the game means that you should give yourself lots of ease so you can move in the sweater. The recommended is your bust + 20 inches using the circumference measurement of the body after it is divided from the sleeves. This design is meant to be cropped. If you would prefer a longer body for the sweater, please understand that this will require more yardage than the pattern calls for.
This sweater is worked from the top neck edge down, will require some basic linen stitch at the collar and a working knowledge of raglan shaping. Most of the piece is knit in the round in Stockinette stitch (simple!), though the neck and bottom edges are garter stitch and the sleeve cuffs are ribbed. The hem is cropped and worked split, flat.
