Self patterning yarn does the work here. Any nice worsted weight self-patterning yarn may be used. Neckline is cut & sew with stockinette binding to preserve the patterning. Hem is ribbed. Any bulky machine and many mid-gauge machines may be used for this design. The ribbing may be hand manipulated if no ribber is available.
