not lost
All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.
J. R. R. Tolkien
Well, this is something for wearing a lifetime long. Why?
First: its shape is difficult to describe and riddles are good for the brain cells. Ask Bilbo. Call it a small poncho-vest-hoodie-cowl.
Second: you can wear it in four ways: as a poncho over your shoulders. As an asymmetrical vest. As a loose cowl around your neck. Or as a hoodie with a lot of ease. You rule the weather!
Third: It is a REALLY fast knit. You know, bulky weight. And all you need to know is the circumference around your whole body including your upper arms. Just this.
Not Lost is a friend on whatever journey you may be on – foremost in this beautiful bulky weight yarn by Annie Yarn (annieyarn.com). I promise: you never had softer Merino in your hands – it is like knitting a cloud!
CONSTRUCTION
Not Lost is first knit flat in a Rib & Welt Diagonals pattern and joined by grafting. Pick up stitches out of one border edge and knit a knit/purl horizontal rib pattern in the round. End with shaping the shoulder in rows.
