Initially this cowl was designed as a gift for my Mom. I was knitting it around her house and because I’m always knitting I didn’t bother to hide it away, she never ask me about my knitting. Suddenly, from nowhere, she asked me what I was knitting and I told her that it was a cowl. She said nothing. A few days later she saw the finished cowl and said to me: is this cowl for the people of the Antarctic? I knew immediately, this is Not My Mother’s Cowl!

Knitted in round in one piece and grafted as a moebius cowl. This cowl is the perfect leftover design and a great addition to any wardrobe (except my mother’s wardrobe).

MC: 260 yds / 240 mts of worsted weight yarn.

CC: 13 yds / 12mts of worsted weight yarn. For each chevron stripe. (21 chevron stripes in total)

Al principio este diseño iba a ser n regalo para mi madre. Estaba tejiéndolo en la casa de ella, como siempre estoy tejiendo, la verdad es que ni ella ni nadie de mi familia repara en lo que estoy tejiendo, así que no me moleste en esconderlo. De repente, de la nada, mi madre me pregunta qué estoy tejiendo y le digo que estoy tejiendo un cuello. No dijo nada. Algunos días después vio el cuello terminado y me dijo: ¡este cuello es para gente de la Antártica? Ahí supe de inmediato que éste no era el cuello para mi mamá.

Tejido en circular en una pieza y cosido con forma moebius. Este cuello es perfecto para usar tus restos de lana y un gran complemento para cualquier guardarropa (excepto el de mi madre).
